The truth about mercury.

Mercury is the most toxic, non-radioactive element on earth. Due to its poisonous nature, mercury can adversely affect the immune, urinary, cardiac, respiratory, and digestive systems. Under laboratory conditions, mercury has produced brain cell deterioration identical to that seen in victims of Alzheimer’s disease.

Mercury poses a threat to your health, the health of family and friends, and the environment.  Mercury from amalgam “silver fillings” ends up in the air, soil, and water.

Who is at risk for mercury poisoning?

Dental amalgam’s mercury is a known health risk, especially for children, fetuses, nursing infants, and people with impaired kidney function especially. Even the U.S. Food and Drug Administration concedes that the developing neurological systems of children and fetuses are more susceptible to “the neurotoxic effects of mercury vapor” – and that there is no evidence that amalgam is safe for these populations.

Is Bauer Dentistry mercury-free?

Yes. Dr. Marie Bauer became a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She is looking forward to removing silver and mercury fillings in the most efficacious and safest way possible.
